PAFA Football

Welcome to PAFA Cheer and Flags!

We are an instructional cheerleading and flags organization.  Our squads perform at PAFA football games in support of the Palatine Amateur Football Associations travel football program.  Games are played in Palatine or surrounding suburbs on either Saturday or Sunday each weekend of the football season.  Clinic week is August 10-13 and regular season games begin in late August.


 
CHEERLEADING:
Cheerleading is for girls in grades 1-8.  Our primary focus is teaching sideline cheers and halftime routines in preparation for junior high and high school cheer.  Cheer is divided into 4 divisions:  Mini, Junior, Intermediate and Senior.


Mini Cheer (1st-2nd grades):                                                           Junior Cheer (3rd-4th grades):
*  1 hour practice per week                                                                                 *  1 hour practice per week
*  Mandatory 2 days of Clinic Week (Th & Fr)                                                        *  Mandatory 4 days of Clinic Week (TU - FR)

Intermediate (5th - 6th grades):                                                       Senior Cheer (7th - 8th grades):
*  1.5 hours of practice 2 times per week                                                             *  2 hours of practice 2 times per week
*  Mandatory 4 days of Clinic Week (TU - FR)                                                       *  Mandatory 4 days of Clinic Week (TU - FR)
*  Cheer in playoffs/championships                                                                      * Cheer in playoffs/championships

PAFA FLAGS:

PAFA Flags is for girls in grades 6-8.  Our primary focus is teaching halftime routines in preparation for high school flags.  There are weekly practices during the season and performances at two games EACH weekend the Panthers are at HOME.  There is also an optional exhibition performance at the end of the season.
